Like some here, I have experienced GREAT results as a result of my blogging efforts here on AR.
Yhank You AR Gods!!
But for the life of me, I could not figure out why Yahoo hated me so much. Page 1 on Google and page 10+ for the very same search terms on Yahoo.
Well, I don't know if I gained too much ground(around page 3 and 4 for two of my search terms) but I did find a little linkback love on a Yahoo Owned site!!!!
It's Yahoo Answers!! http://answers.yahoo.com/
Here is how it works: You create an account and get to answer questions sorted by category. So, every few days, I go out and answer a few questions. I have noticed some hits with Google Analytics. I hang around in the mortgage area and it doesn't really take too much of my time.

Interesting post! I am going to check out Yahoo Answers right now. Congratulations on the Page 1 rank on Google!
P.S. I love the dancing banana!
Hey Maribeth!!
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, feel free to steal the Banana.... i did!!
Tom, I went to the yahoo answer page and it knew me as I aleady use yahoo, that's my shopping email address. Are you linking your website anywhere? I don't do near as good in Yahoo as Google. For some reason when I do good in one I don't in the other.
Thanks for bringing our attention to this. I had noticed this Answers section in Yahoo before -- I think it was after one of their revamps. But I noticed that when I searched for subjects at Yahoo that these answers kept popping up.
Good idea!
Marchel: I have a profile that allows me to put in my website
Jefferson: Yes, people can read you answers.... could bring in a lead.
Kate: You aren't supposed to put links in answers. The spammers do that, and I flag them. But your profile accepts a link back to your website.
oh, I get it. So the purpose is to answer questions as an expert and have more information about you in your profile.
Interesting - I'll have to check out how that works.
Is your profile the same one that you have attached to your Yahoo email address? Can you have more than one profile?
Tom - I'm new to AR and appreciate the tip. I'll run over to Yahoo today to see about your idea.
Thanks!
Kate: Umm, heck, I don't know. I don't get all of that Yahoo stuff. I guess it is the same ID but I am not sure the profile travels to other platforms.
Michael: You are welcome.
Hi Tom,
Great post and lots of great information. I will go and check it out and see if I can figure out how to do it. Thanks.
Thank you Candy
Good luck!!
Great idea, Tom! Thanks for sharing. I am looking into this for sure.
